We are proud to maintain our own finishing booth on site at Don's Piano Warehouse, and to maintain the old world approach to refinishing pianos. This provides advantages such as a top notch preparation and finishing spray rooms.

Our woodworkers are able to repair damages, build replacement pieces for lost carvings and missing parts, in most cases.  Custom lacquer and hand rubbed finishes are available on site.

Heritage pianos have a major advantage where refinishing is concerned, and that is that the original manufacturers were working with comparatively thick veneer. When the old finish is stripped a beautiful grain is exposed. The new stains and finishing products that we work with now allow this wonderful, warm graining to become more prominent and reflect its natural beauty, instead of being " covered up".   We can prepare colour's to match your piano's original finish, to match a floor or other fine furniture piece, or simply to make a change to the piano's appearance.  Attention to detail has always been one of our fortes.  We include extras such as re-plating pedals and hardware, as well as genuine "name decal" replacement.  All finishing is completed to customer satisfaction.
